TVXQ still reigns supreme in Japan!
After the group dropped their ninth Japanese studio album “TOMORROW” on September 19, the album topped Oricon’s weekly album chart for the week of September 17 to September 23.
With this being TVXQ’s seventh No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album chart, the group has made history. TVXQ broke their own record for having the most No. 1s on the Oricon weekly album chart for a foreign male artist and tied with BoA, who previously maintained her position as the foreign artist with the most No. 1s on the chart.
“TOMORROW” also rose to the top of Oricon’s daily album chart, recording 89,026 sold units in the first day of its release alone.
On top of the great album release they have had a very successful tour, with the same name, Tomorrow, with sold out crowds starting in September 26th in Saitama.
This tour is special as it includes arenas where fans can see them up close as well as full sized mega domes, such as Tokyo and Osaka.
The second half of the tour begins in Niigata in November, and have even added an additional date as the finale in Osaka on January 20th.
In between tour dates, TVXQ have appeared on various Japanese entertainment news programs, as well releasing a new single, Jealous, in October!
Congratulations to TVXQ!
